INSET days

interview

The benefits to a school of holding an INSET day in terms of travel, costs, cover and convenience are obvious and is why all of our courses are available as in INSET day. If you've not already checked out the details of our courses, you can find out more about them by clicking on each course name below.

The course outlines are the same whether you attend a scheduled course or host an INSET, although we can also tailor the training to fit your needs and schedule, ensuring that it has the maximum long-term impact at your school.

We have developed all of our courses to be hands-on from the outset, mirroring the use of filmmaking in a school environment as closely as possible. We aim is to give your staff the opportunity to experience first-hand the power and potential of filmmaking as a means of promoting learning across the curriculum, regardless of key stages, by working on real projects.  The advantage of this approach becomes even more apparent in the case of INSET training where there are added benefits to be found from several staff of the same school attending the same training session, benefits such as::

star Sharing of ideas

Establishing a digital workflow at your school

Making the most out of the kit you already own

There are also considerable financial savings to be found in terms of training costs per person by booking an INSET training day rather than sending individual members of staff on a scheduled course.

Schools that train their staff in this way get the maximum benefit from our filmmaking techniques.  It's easy to embed filmmaking at the heart of teaching and learning when all the staff learn together.  Contact us and find out how we can make filmmaking a core skill at your school.  We're always here - throughout the school day and usually much later - to respond to your questions by email or phone (0844 870 8945).

"Working with the team from Bristol Film Academy has been brilliant. I was amazed at their versatility when working with the students and shaping their ideas."
