This one-day course introduces you to professional video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, the software used by the BBC and film and TV production professionals worldwide. You'll be shown round the software and, through a series of hands-on exercises, will learn how to unlock its power. By the end of the course, you'll have an intuitive understanding of Premiere and, even more importantly, you'll be thinking like an editor.
We will provide you with a high-end 64-bit HP laptop and sample footage to work with* and you'll be able to learn at your own pace the elements of professional video editing, including:
- How to approach an edit
- How to import footage from any camera or device
- The software interface
- The editor's toolbox
- Adding effects, transitions, captions and graphics
- Sound and music
- Publishing your film for web, mobile device or broadcast
